Summary/Abstract: In recent years, is detected a growing process of repatriation of migrants who, given the economic situation of the United States of America, have been returned to the State of Nayarit, which shows further growth of tourism activities in Mexico, that could offer them a job to survive with their families. This article shows the results of a sample of 380 returned migrants, including skills, knowledge and competences that favor the possibility of getting inserted in the touristic developments of Nayarit. In addition of that, it was estimated the probability that a migrant could respond effectively to a workforce retention policy, rather than moving back again to the United States from a binary Logit model, detecting regions of the State in which migrants show greater interest in a proposal like that. The work concludes that returned migrants are a specific sector of society, which can be considered as part of the Human Capital with which the regions count, from the perspective proposed by Mincer (1958) and Becker (1964).
