Summary/Abstract: The text presents the most important problems of the everyday life digging legionaries during the Great War, from matters of provision, through health problems and counteracting of demoralisation, to the occupation of their leisure time. On the basis of preserved memoirs an analysis was conducted of changes in the life of young people maturing in the Legions.
