Supervision of minority education in Hungary between 1950 and 1968

Summary/Abstract: Within the framework of the history of national minority education in Hungary between 1950 and 1968, the paper discusses the work of the supervision authority, which aimed to support the work of the teachers in the minority communites. The organizational, structural, and personal changes of the supervision authority are analyzed in the context of Hungarian minority policy as well as of the work of the Department of Minority Policy of the Ministry for Education.
