Summary/Abstract: The furtive knowledge that Pythagoras taught his disciples were not only mystical, it was also mathematical and astronomical and even religious. So this cosmological as well practical knowledge was unquestionably wrapped in veil of mysticism. Certainly, this cast quite fanatically manifested the unity of their opinion, also unity of knowledge gained,even though they were separated in two camps. For Pythagoras and Pythagoreans soul was a permanent pilgrim, a runner,which obtained freedom from dead body. This religious cast was constantly criticized for their political power, also for the doctrine of metempsychosis.
