Summary/Abstract: “superclass” is a term used to indicate the existence of the highest global (transnational) class in current world capitalist system. In first part of this work the author explains the theoretical roots and distinction between „class“ and „elite“ in sociology, as well as the concept of transnational classes and global elites. the second part provides an overview of data and research justifying the concept of superclass and super-elite. the author concludes that it is necessary to distinguish the superclass as owners and users world-system monopoly, and super-elite which is the active nucleus of this class, providing legitimacy and preservation of system. sociologists should not fear the stigma of the “conspiracy theory” when presuppose the existence of coordination in center of the superclass, though in the sociology there are some methodological and research issues in confirmation of the existence of this coordination which have not been resolved yet.
