The Place of Natural-Forest Education in the Services Sector

Summary/Abstract: The State Forests, through its activities in the field of forest and natural sciences, and the development of educational and environmental infrastructure, play a large role and make a significant contribution to shaping the ecological consciousness of society. Foresters are a rich source of knowledge about Polish forests, their history, natural values and other. They are engaged in educational and promotional activities that enable Poles to better understand the important part of the national heritage of forests. The purpose of the study is to identify the role and significance of forest education in the State Forests in the services sector. The paper outlines the role of the services sector in economic theory. Historical conditions of forest education were determined and the determinants of shaping of forest and natural education were presented. The author has attempted to show the nature-forest education as a public service. The study was based on the analysis of subject literature, conversations with representatives of State Forests and local society using induction reasoning.
