Summary/Abstract: A. C. Cuza was the main anti-Semitic politician in interwar Romanian life. He began his political career as a socialist at the end of XIXth century. Soon he become a nationalist-anti-Semitic. He founded in 1923 National Christian Defense League, the first anti-Semitic party in Romania with swastika as political symbol. The party’s program demanded the expulsion of the Jews from Romania. Along his political activity, Cuza collaborated with various Romanian intellectuals, followers of anti-Semitism. A. C. Cuza has denied the idea that the Jews can represent an ethnical or religious minority in Romania.
