Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the results of educational research undertaken by students from Plovdiv School and associated with the construction of a model for the implementation of the teaching-research approach to studying the topic of mechanical oscillations and waves. This model includes certain components related to the formation of learning research tasks and the development of scenarios for the study of certain phenomena and specific applications of mechanical waves. It describes the expected results of such organized training and the concrete application of certain constructivist learning methods that are relevant to the research approach.
