The Space as the Metaphor

Summary/Abstract: This paper is devoted to the metaphors of social creation of space. Space is the human memory, because people inscript in space their own creations, and each new generation reads what had been written there by the previous ones. However, it often happens that this „reading” is influenced not by the objective message, but also by subjective understanding of this message. Thus, social creation of space is not only production of material infrastructure, but is also a creation of meanings – spatial metaphors.
