Summary/Abstract: In recent years there has been a great deal of focus on defining the notion of happiness. The word "happiness" is used in different ways. In 2011, the UN declared in its resolution the achievement of happiness as a fundamental human goal, and in 2012 announced March 20th for World Happiness Day. This report aims to review the practices of studying and analyzing happiness in specialized literature. The tasks that are set are the following: to review the specialized literature on the variety of happiness measurement practices. Explain the scope and content of the concept of happiness index. Make a detailed survey of metrics, methods and indicators for measuring happiness. Object of research are scientific papers and publications on the issues under consideration. The subject of the study is the scope, content and structure of the happiness indices and the practices of its measurement and analysis. For the collection of empirical information, are used a combination of research methods such as content analysis, synthesis, induction and deduction.
