Summary/Abstract: Half a century away fromthe conferences held by Martin Heidegger on the subjects of The Work of Art,Dwelling and Technology, this paper is looking into the relevance of these concepts andtheories for the contemporary art scene, and asking whether they are still useful forpresent-day debates. This paper will analyse the compatibility between Heidegger’sapproach to art and contemporary art forms such as art installations, performance, landart, art in public space, cinema, new media and VR installations.
