Corporate governance and innovativeness of enterprises

Summary/Abstract: Issues related to corporate governance are not new in literature. Mention to the essence of this concept can be found in ancient texts. Taking into consideration progressing globalization, financial crises, emergence of more and more complex economic entities and other key changes taking place in the economy over the past years, the discussed issue is gaining in importance. The aim of this study is to identify the relations between corporate governance and the innovativeness of business entities. In addition, article defines role of corporate governance in modern economy and identifies methods of stimulation of innovative behaviors in corporations. The study used critical analysis of the current polish and foreign literature about described issues. The considerations indicate the important role of corporate governance principles in shaping innovation-oriented enterprises.
