Summary/Abstract: Besquidians is a group of five musicians from the Żywiecki Beskid formed in 2009. The band performs the music inspired by folklore of the areas in question, combining it in its experiments with many genres of modern music. Apart from instruments typical of the folk music from the Żywiec area such as violin or dudes, the band also makes use of the section of aerophones, woodwind, contrabass and accordion, as well as electronics and visualization, which allows for achieving unique sounds that are unusual in other bands like that, making their concerts multimedia performances at the same time. The band has been awarded and participated in many important folklore festivals in Poland. It has managed to record the material for two CDs, namely "Besquidians", and "Besquidians świątecznie" since 2009. The band activity greatly contributes to the cultivation of the Polish foklore.
