Summary/Abstract: This article analyises the allies and opponents of the three movements in Bulgaria, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina taking into consideration some of the main factors and actors within the POS approach to social movement studies, primarily the political systems in the three states as main organizational fields for political parties and other actors in the political system; the role of the political parties and allies and opponents to the movements; the key role of the international community in regards to the interaction with the social movements and the main political parties; as well as the role of the most significant media actors and their relationship with the movements.
