Summary/Abstract: Constantin Brâncoveanu was undoubtedly a man of the era, became the ruler in a period marked by the humanism of the 17 th century and early Enlightenment to beginning of the century XVIII. Having four sons himself, was concerned and was involved in the development of the system of education in Wallachia, which wished to European level, after the model of University centers as Padua, Bologna, Paris, Leipzig and Constantinople, Kiev and Moscow. Thus, he reorganized the and it cared to very good teachers and Endowment other schools with libraries having impressive volumes of books, in areas such as medicine, philosophy, history, linguistics, astronomy etc., in the languages: Greek, Latin, Slavic, Italian, German etc. Throughout his work, remains one of the personalities who have contributed greatly to the development of Romanian culture, through style brâncovenesc, which preserves the Byzantine Fund and influenced Italian, as a genuine bridge between East and West.
