THE EVALUATION OF URBAN IMPRESSIONS FROM THE VISUAL: SAMSUN AMISOS EXAMPLE

Summary/Abstract: The settlement areas, which have an important position in the past and which have survived to the present day, are seen as an important heritage site in many cities today. Protection and utilization decisions and arrangements are made for the transfer of these environments to the present and future generations in terms of the continuity of the culture. These historical areas, which are important for the identity of cities, are known to provide economic benefits to the city in terms of cultural tourism. In addition to the functions of the field, visual quality is an important factor in the choice of these areas. When Turkey's examination of historical periods that the city is home to many different periods and one of them is a city with a strategic location in the history of war in Samsun. Amisos Hill in Samsun is an important tourism area for the present and future with its archaeological structures.
