Summary/Abstract: The humankind has been in a constant development and change since his existence on the earth. His activity has shaped itself within the frame of this phenomenon. Parallel to this situation, the concept of shopping as a basic fulfillment of need has shaped by the changing request and demands of human and reconstruct itself. And all of the historic processes of change have reflected itself in the changing concept of shopping spaces. From past to present the act of shopping; has actualized by the exchange of a product or a service with a price between the consumer and the seller. Later on the actualization of this act has started to be performed with specific rules and technological extensions. The act of shopping, has become possibly examined and researched by the distinct disciplines. The act of shopping that has been performed once for the fulfillment of needs and economic gains back in the days is now playing the role of content that provides instant satisfaction and the remedy of the statute concerns. What started as an exchange logic has become the act of shopping that defines the modern people of 21th century, “the shopping experience”. This radical change that occur in the concept of shopping is showing itself clearly in the ways of construction and design of shopping centers. This radical change in the design of shopping centers has caused the transformation of the shopping spaces, into experiential shopping spaces.
