Summary/Abstract: The monograph of Isidora Sekulić “To Njegoš, a book of deep devotion“ (Њеgошу, књиgа ɡубоке оɡаносtи), SKZ, Belgrade, 1951, 392 + /5/, has a status of a milestone work in contemporary njegošism, a work that at the same time represents both a scientific exemplar and an analytic challenge. Unlike the value criticism of Lj. Nedić, aesthetic criticism of B. Popović, impressionistic criticism of J. Skerlić or historical criticism of P. Popović, I. Sekulić, together with B. Lazarević, founded a new model – creative criticism. It represents an inventive mixture of science (analysis) and arts (interpretation), with a note that the “personal trademark” of each of its members is accomplished only if they prove the authenticity of the literary work through authenticity of literary criticism. The study “Isidora Sekulić’s contribution to the development of contemporary njegošism” represents a natural and logical continuation of a dialogue that started in a homogeneous study “The creative criticism of Isidora Sekulić (A contribution to the theory of literary criticism)”, which was recently published in a thematised collection of works called “Serbian literary criticism and cultural politics in the second half of the 20th century” (Срpска књижевна криtика и кулtурна pолиtика у ɡруgој pоловини ХХ века) Belgrade, 2013. Тhe new study has been divided into three segments: “Global aspirations and methodological approaches”, “Generating poetic ideas and literary content” and “Literary-aesthetic values of Njegoš’s poems”, while the closing section (“Notes”) includes: archival material, primary and secondary literature. Values of the monograph are reflected both in substantial and relational theory (philosophy and psychology, aesthetics and poetry, literaturology and linguistics).
