Summary/Abstract: It is a matter of fact that a state-of-the-art product development is based on virtual prototyping. Virtual prototyping is using computer-aided design (CAD), and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software to validate a design before committing to making a physical prototype.If the number of competing virtual prototypes is large, the models are complex, and parameter space is high dimensional it can lead to combinatorial complexity. The paper suggests strategy for coping with the combinatorial complexity by using Model Based Neural Network approach. Cases of successful strategy implementation are considered. Finally, the expansion of suggested method to the field of geneticengineering is discussed.
