Summary/Abstract: This study highlights the different accents and implications of theology and ministry of grace across the Romanian Orthodox Dogmatics, which were used in the Theological Academies and Colleges in nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Our analysis has focussed on how grace was caught and engaged in the Sacrament of Holy Unction. The study reveals the Father Dumitru Stăniloae thinking that dogmatic theology has opened new perspectives in understanding the soteriological-ecclesial implications of the Mysteries by asserting Palamites synthesis and the dogmatic-liturgical interpretation of the Sacrament of Unction, together with the other sacraments. In this study we tried to outline an evolution in the Romanian Orthodox dogmatic thinking, in the controversial aspect of the theology of grace, with special reference to the Sacrament of Unction.
