BOSNIA AND BOSNIAKS - NAME, BEING AND HISTORY OF IDENTITY

Summary/Abstract: The author of this paper tries to highlight some parts of the Bosniaks identity history, using the relevant methodical means of analysis, comparison and conclusion. Reconstruction of constructed historical character is always an expression of the growing needs to get rid of clutter, false and seductive interpretations that were an expression of the historical context. In changed historical circumstances it has been shown that large parts of our “theories” were more useless, because their constituents were the expressing of ideologically motivated narratives. In front of each generation of thinking people is the task of reconstructive-reinterpretational action, which releases suppressed knowledge about themselves or the others, and by doing so, opens the field of new interpretative possibilities of free thinking. So, what was once put in our epistemic frame as “gospel truth” now is presented as a dogmatic ideological prejudice and misinterpretation.
