Summary/Abstract: The Author reviews texts of Polish andragogues in the scope of comparative andragogy. Due to the popularity of international comparative research,she focuses mainly on publications of the series „Library of adult education” andperiodicals „Adult education” and „Andragogy Annual” – publications of the Polish Academic Andragogy Society, the contribution of which is invaluable to the developmentof comparative andragogy. The article reflects on the topicality and therelevance of conducting comparative research in adult education, furthermore, it is anattempt to name the trends and tendencies in Polish comparative andragogy after theyear 1989. The described output is systematized according to the following criteria:research characterizing foreign systems of adult education, studies devoted to chosenaspects of functioning of adult education abroad, juxtaposing work, interdisciplinarycross-cultural studies and work with methodological reflection on conducting crossculturalcomparative research in adult education.
