Summary/Abstract: Most of the contemporary conflicts are characterized by an imbalance regarding the military capabilities of the belligerents on the battlefield. The weaker forces try to find out different tactics and techniques to avoid the strong points of a more powerful enemy on the battlefield and to take advantage of their weaknesses. Although we are speaking, day by day, more about mention asymmetry when we describe the current conflicts in Afghanistan, Irak or Syria, we do not have to forget that this could not exist in the absence of symmetry, because these two concepts are bound.
