Summary/Abstract: In the first part the article addresses some topical issues related to the military organization and the specific demands of the military profession. Then, during the article, the documents defining the finality of the military training programs organized on the two levels of training of the military personnel (initial and continuous) and the role played by the specialist in physical education and sport for the development of skills and abilities indispensable to the military profession.
