Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to bring to one’s attention some disproportions in common thinking about presumed functions of city’s public spaces. The paper covers both the adequacy of said spaces, regarding the needs of those socially excluded or homeless, and attitudes toward them presented by the “normal” city center users. The paper in some way also considers the adequacy of the excluded to shared public spaces. For it is crucial to realize the scale of unspoken exclusion of those who are not primary recipients of the city center’s spaces.
