Summary/Abstract: The present paper focuses on some aspects of poetic translation. It is part of a corpus-based study led in the context of Berber oral poetry, the poetic texts accompanying the celebration of Sebeiba. It shares the experience of translating oral texts from Tamahaq to Arabic and their retranslation into French. It also raises questions regarding the difficulties and constraints of poetic translation and the variability of translation based on differences in view points and domains.
