Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to present the differences between the amount and rate of changes of wages in the financial and insurance activities in Poland and wages by sections of the national economy, average monthly gross wages, minimum wage in Poland, as well as foreign wages. The time scope of the analysis covers the period between 2005 and 2016. The quantitative data used in the article are the secondary data. The source of data was the databases published by the Central Statistical Office in Poland and the Eurostat. The following qualitative methods employed: deduction and the critical analysis of literature. In terms of the quantitative methods, the descriptive statistics used. The obtained results suggest that the financial and insurance activities (K section) in the years 2005-2016 was the one of the highest-paid section of the national economy. However, in the international context, the wage in K section was significantly lower than in terms of foreign wages.
