Summary/Abstract: The article proposes the introduction in the scientific circuit of some older archaeological finds from the storage facilities of the Buzău County Museum. The materials come from preventive researches and archaeological field surveys or random discoveries from the area of the same site – Ursoaia – La Movilă, located in Ursoaia village, Vipereşti commune. The preventive researches from 2002 have led to the discovery of several medieval complexes: a disused fountain located at the base of the site and four inhumation graves found on the plateu (La Movilă). Most likely, the graves were part of a cemetery that functioned sometime in the 16th century. The researches also revealed the existence of a Bronze Age settlement which, on the basis of the archaeological material, can be dated in the Ic2-Ic1 stages of the Monteoru culture.Following the archaeological field surveys carried out in 2009 it was found that the Monteoru settlement was larger than initially thought, archaeological materials being discovered on the high terrace located north and north-east from La Movilă site. The fortuitous discovery of a decorated stone axe in the area of the site confirms the importance of the settlement and its possible connections with the populations from the North-Pontic region.
