Summary/Abstract: This article considers the art of translation through a comparative analysis of the translations of two selected theological texts taken from the French and Polish version of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC). Specifically, this study examines the Polish and French versions of CCC 748, which speaks about the relationship between the Church and Christ. As CCC 749 reveals, this relationship, pertains not only to the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, but also to the Third Person, meaning the Holy Spirit. Like the number that precedes it, CCC 749 is translated differently in both the Polish and French versions. Essentially, this article highlights the difficulty of translating and demonstrates how difficult it is to translate and how responsible the translator is for his translations of theological texts that pertain to faith.
