General regulation on the protection of personal data (GDPR) – new challenges in the protection of personal data

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to present and discuss the General Regulation on Data Protection – that is, GDPR is to standardize the level of data protection and provide a sense of legal certainty in the processing of personal data in all European Union countries. GDPR also imposes new obligations on entrepreneurs and government administration. Due to severe administrative penalties for non-compliance with GDPR provisions, it is worth already preparing for upcoming regulations. Methodological research appears both in connection with the introduction of the Regulation and the implementation process in the organization of personal data protection.
