Summary/Abstract: The article defines the causes of the influence of modern Russian linguodidactics on the methodology of teaching Russian in Chinese universities. Active and long-term cooperation of Russian and Chinese methodologists allowed to accumulate a great theoretical and practical experience of teaching Russian in the Chinese universities. Nevertheless there are some problems of approbation and introduction of new methodological approaches to teaching, these are the contradictions caused, as a rule, by the sociocultural specificity of Chinese linguodidactics. The new Chinese method of teaching the Russian language presupposes a reasonable combination of traditional methods and new approaches to teaching and learning Russian as a foreign language.
