Summary/Abstract: In my paper I will try to sketch the literary implications of Carlo Ginzburg’s essay entitled „Clues: Roots of an Evidential Paradigm”. The method assumes focusing on detail as the most important element in the narrative. Ginzburg’s „Clues” owe their name to the animal tracking mechanism by the hunter. Hunting can therefore be treated as a metaphor for the interpretation of a text in the form of signs.
