Unfortunately, few documents detailing the fishery traditions have been preserved, andoral traditions can be dated back only to the 19th century. The fishing net has been a key invention in fisheries. It is made up of netting of varying mesh size, formed by knotting of the threads. Besides the fishing net, the fishing boat is an essential tool in fisheries.
