Summary/Abstract: The article emphasizes the differences in the perception of language errors among the scientists (linguists) and the traditional difference between the prescription and description in science: the prescription as a dogmatic tendency in science and the description as a scientific method itself. Grammatical mistakes found in the text "prescribed" by prescriptivists as error analysis and being revealed to as scientific achievements are not to be considered as such. Linguistic studies are more than that, they keep being realized by very hardworking methods of describing the real-life language situation and by observing the dynamics of language development. The difference between prescription and description has been explained through the concepts of intentionality and acceptability, too, in terms of text grammar analysis and text linguistic viewpoint.
