Theological content of the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Eternal High Priest in context formation to the priesthood on design of the Heart of Jesus

Summary/Abstract: The article is intended to answer the question – what is the connection of the priesthood of Jesus Christ with his Heart, as well as with our ministerial „priesthood on design of the Heart of Jesus”. He points to the fact that the new feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Eternal High Priest is thoroughly christological, therefore it was said in the history of the cult of the Heart of Jesus about His priestly Heart, especially in the tradition of the French school of Berullian spirituality, from which the spirituality of L. Dehon grows. All the reflections are based on the inspirations flowing from the texts of the Holy Mass on Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Eternal High Priest, and especially his biblical readings, from where the direction for the formation to the priesthood on design of the Heart of Jesus. These liturgical and biblical texts complement the understanding of the priesthood in the light of Fr. Leon Dehon, and can give it new dynamism and direction for further development.
