Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to reflect on the problem of the possibility of legal regulation of some moral issues. There is still a social debate regarding, among legal aspects of abortion. After a synthetic presentation of the foundation of the right to life, the source of which is the supernatural dignity of a human being, the problem of legal regulation of the analyzed issues was raised. It has been found that source of some of them is in the universally binding natural law, and religious norms strengthen them and provide new motivation. It also pointed to the need for permanent formation of conscience, which cannot be replaced by the law.
