Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the primary school teachers’ verbal communication in solving educational dilemmas in classes of physical education. It has been revealed that the teachers’ verbal behaviour can be considered one of the ways of developing children’s communicative competence. The paper has demonstrated what features of leadership are domineering in a pedagogue’s activity while solving educational dilemmas. Attention has been paid to the fact that the teacher should engage in displaying diverse oral expression when argument arises among children, and the situation demands a sound solution. It has been stated that the teacher is a professional responsible for the growth of communicative competence of junior pupils. Therefore, he / she has to comply with the rules of polite behaviour, as well as take care of values and / or value systems that are being manifested through his/her verbal communication.
