Spiritual sens and its actuality in fundamental theology perspective according to Henri de Lubac

Summary/Abstract: The spiritual interpretation of the Bible and the spiritual sense of God’s Word is one of the most important problems of the theological research by Henri de Lubac. The French theologian was convinced that spiritual reading is still valid in the context of critical research on the Bible. In the present article, the author indicates the reasons for which Henri de Lubac argued for the topicality of this kind of exegesis. Building on these premises, some conclusions will be drawn on the theological basis of the spiritual exegesis, on the specificity of such reading of the Bible, and on the possibility of its critical verification.
