Summary/Abstract: The article presents the arrival of the Redemptorists to the Archdiocese of Wrocław. The events described cover the period 1900–1925, that is from the date of constituting the first monastery to the date of the lately founded monastery in the Archdiocese. The foundation of five monasteries was described, drawing attention to historical and political conditions, in the context of the Wrocław Church’s life in and its needs, which gave origin to a special motivation to bring them to life. Specific facts and persons were mentioned in the article, whose persistence, consistency and trust in the Redemptorist Congregation had commenced a beautiful and ongoing commitment of the Redemptorist Fathers and Brothers to the spiritual growth of the local Church not only of the Archdiocese of Wrocław, but also of the later established dioceses of Gliwice, Opole and Zielona Góra-Gorzów.
