Summary/Abstract: The entry to the registry of religion run by Ministry of the Interior and Administration legalizes the activity of religious communities in the Republic of Poland. Conditions of being list in the register are defined by a legislation and require, among others, the submission of one hundred authenticated signatures of Polish citizens and the submission of the statute of a given religious community. Considering of the registration application is connected with the implementation of control rights of the decision-making organ because when the religious association is registered the minister doesn’t have considerable competence in the scope of monitoring religions. In hereby article I analyze cases of refused registration, which show the scope of the control function towards applicants trying to legalize their religious associations.
