Summary/Abstract: The study aim was to diagnose dimensions of the Christian character traits revealed in the Bible and in the Christian literature. In the investigation were involved 52 adult participants in the Sunday Mass in Zamość. The traits of the character were assessed by the means of the Scale for Christian Character Assessment (Sungwon Kim, 2017). Religiosity was assessed at four aspects: personal prayer, community prayer, reading the Bible, and motivation to religious practices. Personality of the participants has been tested by the means of the International Personality Item Pool-Big Five Markers-20 (Polish Version, 2013). The results showed that the tested subjects assessed themselves substantially higher on both a relationship with God and relationship with others (loving and caring, loving and peacemaking) level then on a personal and social responsibility one. As regards links between the Christian character and religiosity, the relationship with God was positively correlated with personal prayer and motivation to religious practices; the relation with others (loving and peacemaking) was positively correlated with motivation to religious practices; and personal responsibility was positively correlated with community prayer. As regards links between the Christian character and personality, the relationship with others (loving and caring) was positively correlated with conscientiousness, and personal responsibility was positively correlated with emotional stability. Furthermore correlates positively with age of the subjects the relationship with God and the relationship with others (loving and peacemaking). The conclusions were discussed in the psychological and pastoral aspects.
