Summary/Abstract: The article presents the importance of the Polish administrative tradition for the public administration of the Third Polish Republic. I focus on characteristic features of the history of Polish administration, pointing out to the fact that the only actual administrative tradition that could be referred to is the history of political system and administration of the Republic of Poland in 1918–1939.
