ALTERNATIVES FOR THE PROTECTION OF RIGHTS OF MIGRANTS, PERSPECTIVES AND CHALLENGES

Summary/Abstract: This communication explores the different approaches with which migration shave been analyzed in the context of current globalization, with the purpose of identifyingviable solution alternatives to the problems presented by the violation of their rights, and thediversity of approaches to control of the migratory flows. In the same way, it explores asvariables the right to asylum for reasons of insecurity and economic instability, and to aprogressive labor mobility to face the dynamics of migratory flows as a consequence of theglobalization of inequalities. Our premise is that the lack of legal recognition in internationalor regional instruments, of human rights to asylum for reasons of insecurity and organizedcrime, and labor mobility, inhibit coordination efforts between countries of origin andrecipients in the management of the migratory flows.
