Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to present three stories of women, who had died while sacrificing their lives to others. However, attention was paid not only to the victim himself, but to his readiness. The patriarch Abraham was undoubtedly the model of this attitude. Blessed Laura, St. Edyta and Bl. Sisters of Nazarene in their care for their loved ones, asked for prayer, so that they could suffer suffering for certain intentions without knowing how it would look. But when it came time to fulfill the promise, each confirmed it by act.
