Summary/Abstract: Careful and socio-emotional impacts of the family are of great importance in satisfying the social and mental needs of children. Well-functioning families are to create various positive situations that should meet such needs as: security of love, belonging, kindness, social contact, support and acceptance. In families with an alcohol problem, there is often a lack of parents; sensitivity to the child’s needs. Unfavorable situations in interactions between family members, mainly parents, result in a lack or incompleteness in meeting the psychosocial needs of children in dysfunctional families with an alcohol problem.
