Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article was to assess the technical efficiency 31 of the healthcare sector in Poland in 2016. The study was carried out on the 32 basis of non-parametric method of efficiency testing - Data Envelopment 33 Analysis. The technical efficiency of the sector's functioning in voivodships 34 was considered on the basis of information gathered from public general 35 hospitals. The results showed which voivodships were characterized by the 36 best technical efficiency in comparison to the group under study.
