Summary/Abstract: The concept of quality expressed as not adapting the education, knowledge and skills of people to the necessity of the work being done in the literature has been a matter of employment in business enterprises in recent years. People working in the organizations either feel themselves over-qualified in accordance with the work they do or accept that the work is more than their skills despite not being common. In both cases, the employees of the organization turn into unhappy workers and this unhappiness decreases their performance. However, despite the fact that the work is suitable in line with the skills of the employees, the employees do not make any contribution to organization as they feel themselves over-qualified in some cases. In this vein, the personality characteristics of the employees come into play. It is essential to determine which employees with personality characteristics feel themselves over-qualified and particularly, the directors need to take precautions on this subject. In this sense, this purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of personality characteristics on perceived over qualification. A questionnaire form was developed using ‘’Five Factor Personality Model’’ and ‘’Perceived Over qualification” and was applied on the employees of the accommodation business enterprises. A sample of 132 questionnaire forms was evaluated and some statistical tests were run such as reliability test, validity analysis and regression analysis. The obtained data revealed that the emotional balance had a significant impact on perceived over qualification. It can be said that the people describing themselves as an easy-going person, having curiosity on everything and having emotional balance personality characteristic regard themselves more skilled and knowledgeable more than the work’s necessity. In this case, the directors need to know the employees well and direct them right works and departments in proportion with their educational background and talents.
