Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze how the theory of Wallerstein can be applied to the analysis of relations between different societies of the world, during the economic recession. During the economic recession, the structure of international relations and the positions in different hierarchies (economic, political, military, etc.) registered a permanent dynamics as each power aspired to play a hegemonic role.
