Summary/Abstract: Pressure groups are a way in which certain groups of interests try to influence state power without using force. Among these groups, employees and employers' associations play a wider social role. They have many other potential roles, not the least being to provide a sense of collective identity, labor security and social peace, as well as economic and professional class consciousness that can be translated into political agendas.
