Summary/Abstract: In practice, there are cases when we have to study the connection between a continuous variable and a discontinuous – dichotomous one. In these cases a biserial correlation coefficient is used. The prerequisite for the calculation of such a correlation coefficient is that the number of subjects n be greater or equal to 50. The next procedure describes the determination of this correlation coefficient.
